Certificate of Biblical Counseling


Purpose:

The purpose of this certificate is to help you grow in skill as an Ambassador of God’s Kingdom. In an ever-changing world the need to represent God, bringing peace, communicating effectively and helping people is becoming more and more important and necessary. The Biblical principles you learn in this certificate course will be applied first to your own life through practical course work. This certificate will equip you to do basic counseling, help solve problems, communicate and build others. It is designed to teach you to think and apply the scriptures, as a representative of God on the earth.

Each student will be required to complete the 15 hours of coursework from United Graduate College and Seminary before we will grant this certificate.

Five 3-Hour Courses constitute 15 hours that are needed for this certificate.

Curriculum:

Each student is required to thoroughly read each book listed below. Each book is considered a (One 3-Hour Course). After each book is read, you need to write a 12 to 25 page paper for each book. In each paper we want you to: 1. List the valuable truths found in each book. 2. Tell us how you will use these principles in your ministry to others. 3. How has this material impacted your walk with the Lord? Each paper is to be typed with no grammatical errors. Size 12 font, in MLA format is suggested.
